Hydro Studios · Nonprofit Work
Nonprofits & Associations
Since 2013, Hydro has built websites, fundraising and membership programs, and marketing systems for museums, membership associations and community organizations. Here is some of that work.
The nonprofits we work with ask a lot of their websites. Donations have to land in the right place. Members have to renew. A teacher needs to book a field trip without picking up the phone. For the Simon Wiesenthal Center, we built three new websites and an education site for the museums. We also build the center’s fundraising campaign pages.

Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Museums of Tolerance
2025 to present
The Simon Wiesenthal Center runs the Museums of Tolerance and Moriah Media, its documentary film studio. Until September 2025, wiesenthal.org ran on Blackbaud’s Luminate CMS. Hydro rebuilt it on HubSpot. We also built new websites for the Museums of Tolerance and Moriah Media on the same account.
The center moved its donations from Blackbaud to GoFundMe Pro, formerly Classy. Hydro builds the campaign pages that send donors there, from the year-end appeal to Passover and Jewish American Heritage Month.
Hydro also runs email for all three brands on Marketing Hub. That covers appeals, newsletters and event announcements, plus a set of email modules that switch between the center, museum and Moriah Media styles.
Three brand websites and the Museums of Tolerance Education Hub share one HubSpot account. Each brand keeps its own look and its own audience.
From April through July 2026, donation pages on the new site raised 13% more than in the same months of 2025 on the old Luminate site.
The average gift rose 11% over the same four months.
Pages on the site brought in 57% of everything the center raised on GoFundMe Pro in the first seven months of 2026.
On donation landing pages with the form built into the page, 12.5% of visits ended in a gift.
Museums of Tolerance Education Hub
The museums run programs for teachers, students and law enforcement. Before 2026, information on those programs was spread across an old development site and a separate Weebly site. In May the center asked Hydro to bring it together. We began building in June.
The Education Hub runs on HubSpot alongside the other three sites. Its pages are organized around three audiences: educators, students in grades 5 through 12, and first responders. It also holds the museum’s Children of the Holocaust archive and profiles of 32 survivors from its Witness Theater program.
Booking automation
Teachers, schools and law enforcement agencies book programs from one page. It asks who the program is for and opens the matching form with the program already filled in. School requests start with the state, then ask about the class.
Every request lands in HubSpot for the education team to confirm. Automated emails go out at each step. When a session fills up, people can join a waitlist. After a program, the team has three evaluation surveys ready to send.
Educator enrollment pipeline in HubSpot
- Registered
- Confirmed
- Attended
- Completed
Hydro also built a custom integration between HubSpot and Articulate Reach 360, the museums’ online learning platform. When an educator signs up for a course on the Hub, HubSpot creates their Reach 360 account and enrolls them through the Reach API. When they finish, Reach sends the completion back to HubSpot. Each course is saved to the educator’s record with their score and completion date. Their status moves from enrolled to active learner to alumni as they work through the program. In October 2026 we trained the museums’ staff to run the whole system.
Google Ad Grants
$0 a month
Hydro works with the center’s team on the strategy, planning and management of its Google Ad Grants campaigns. The grant gives the center $10,000 a month in search advertising. The campaigns send people to landing pages designed to grow its subscriber list.

USGA
Eight years, through 2019
The United States Golf Association runs one of the largest membership programs in American sports. When Hydro came in, the hook for joining was a free U.S. Open hat. Over eight years we ran the membership division’s paid media and built the Member Clubhouse, a member portal with single sign-on across USGA websites. We also set up the welcome, renewal and stewardship emails.
At three U.S. Opens, Hydro designed and ran a tent for members inside the grounds. Members wore RFID wristbands to check in at kiosks, took photos for a community photo wall and saw themselves on the screens in the tent and on the main jumbotron.

Green Production Guide
PGA Green · 2016 to 2023
The Green Production Guide is the Producers Guild of America’s resource for sustainable film and TV production. Hydro managed greenproductionguide.com and its social media for seven years. We built the Salesforce database behind its directory of approved vendors and promoted its events, including the SEEDS “Leading with Empathy” event with Danny Glover.

Desert AIDS Project
PrEP n’ Play · 2017 onward
Since its founding in Palm Springs in 1984, Desert AIDS Project has cared for people living with, affected by or at risk for HIV. It is now a federally qualified health center serving the Coachella Valley. DAP asked Hydro to build awareness of its services in communities that were not coming in for care. We won the account through an RFP in 2017.
The PrEP n’ Play campaigns ran on billboards, bus shelters, display banners and Facebook. We added awareness videos, a new website and a booth at Palm Springs Pride.

Park City Sailing
2013 to 2019
Park City Sailing Association runs sailing camps and regattas in Park City, Utah. Hydro designed the SAIL Park City logo and style guide and built its website. We produced the brochures, flyers and regatta graphics and ran its social media. For one fundraiser we built the email campaign for a raffle with a Tesla Model S as the prize.
What we do for nonprofits
We move organizations off older systems. The Simon Wiesenthal Center came off Blackbaud’s Luminate CMS and onto HubSpot in 2025.
We build donation, campaign and program sites, including several brands on one portal.
Our campaign and appeal pages connect to GoFundMe Pro, with a source code on every donate link.
We run appeals, newsletters and donor and member email on Marketing Hub, along with the lists and automation behind them.
We build event and program sign-ups on HubSpot forms, workflows and pipelines.
We build custom dashboards that bring website, email, ad and donation data into one view. Then we review the results with your team and decide what to change.
We optimize your content to show up in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Our AEO grader measures how often it does.
We work with your team on the strategy, planning and management of Grants campaigns. Learn more
